Our crawler
Last updated: 10 August 2026
Gratis Stelleninserate collects job listings from employers’ own careers pages so that they can be found in one place. If you are reading this, you have probably seen our crawler in your server logs.
You would rather we did not fetch your site? Write to kontakt@gratisstelleninserate.ch. We will remove your site as a source and delete every listing taken from it. That opt-out is permanent; you do not need to repeat it.
How to recognise us
Our crawler identifies itself on every request:
GratisStelleninserateBot/1.0 (+https://gratisstelleninserate.ch/bot)
We do not disguise this identifier and do not pretend to be a browser. If you see a request claiming to be a browser, it is not from us.
What we abide by
- Your robots.txt applies. If it disallows a path, we do not fetch it – no exceptions. If it disallows our crawler entirely, we leave your site alone completely.
- At most one request per second to your domain. A crawl puts no more measurable load on your server than a single visitor.
- We fetch a source no more often than every two to three days.
- We fetch only publicly reachable pages. No bypassing of sign-ins, no forms, no areas behind a login.
- We collect only from employers’ careers pages – not from other job boards.
What we collect
The details of your listing: title, description, location, workload, employment type and – if you state one – the salary range. Plus the address of the original page.
We collect no personal data. If your listing names a contact person or their direct line, that is part of the listing text you published yourself – we do not analyse those details and keep no directories of people.
We neither receive nor store applications. The apply button on our site leads to your original listing; the application reaches you.
How a collected listing looks on our site
- Your company name is on it, not ours.
- It links visibly to your original listing.
- When your listing expires on your site, it disappears from ours within three days.
- It carries no JobPosting markup for Google unless you have claimed your company profile with us – that markup is reserved for listings entrusted to us explicitly.
Claiming your profile
You can claim your company profile with us and manage your listings yourself – free of charge; basic listings are and remain free. You then control the text, the runtime and how people apply, and your listings are additionally delivered to Google for Jobs.
Write to kontakt@gratisstelleninserate.ch from an email address on your company domain.
Blocking us technically
If you would rather not write to us, an entry in your robots.txt is enough – we follow it from the next fetch onwards:
User-agent: GratisStelleninserateBot Disallow: /
An opt-out by email takes effect immediately, however, and additionally deletes listings already collected. robots.txt only prevents future fetches.
